Who is Pierre?
A little over two years ago husband and wife team, Simon & Bec Fenwick opened the doors to ‘Monsieur Pierre’ – a full production kitchen and retail business providing catering, events, lunch on the go, coffee and take home meals in a former butcher shop in Kyneton.
Together, Simon & Bec bring over 40 years of national and international hospitality experience to their Kyneton based business. Simon has worked in the kitchens of some of Sydney’s best loved restaurants including the Bennelong, Bistros Moncur and Deux and Level 41. He was also chef at London’s Le Caprice, The Sugar Club and was Operations Manager for the Apostrophe Group of patisseries and boulangeries in the UK. Bec worked alongside Simon in the kitchens at the Sugar Club and cooked at London’s famed River Cafe and Sydney’s Bel Mondo and Rockpool Restaurants.
Returning to Victoria, both Simon & Bec spent time with Melbourne’s renowned event company ‘The Big Group.’ Bec also worked for well known provedore Simon Johnson and Simon spent several years as Cellar Door Manager for Shelmerdine Vineyard before opening Monsieur Pierre.
In the first two years of business, Monsieur Pierre has gone from strength to strength regularly catering for regional weddings, birthdays and private functions for 25 to 250 people. Monsieur Pierre has recently expanded their event management services and already has a number of major events in the pipeline for 2012 including the Sanguine Music Festival in March 2012.
